Intelligence Bureau (IB) has found 2000 recruitments of SIO

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has found 2000 recruitments of SIOs. For this, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) has released the notification of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer – Grade-II / Executive Examination 2020 (IB ACIO Recruitment 2020). The Intelligence Bureau comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The last date for online application is 9 January 2021. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website, In this, 989 posts are unreserved.


Educational Qualification and Age Limit

To apply for SIO posts in Intelligence Bureau (IB), a candidate must be a graduate in any stream.


Age Limit in IB (ISO) recruitments


The age limit for applying for these posts should be minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years. SC, ST category will get five years and OBC will get three years relaxation in the maximum age limit.


Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.

 Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service.

 The age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 years for general candidates and up to 40 years for SC / ST in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried.

The age limit is relaxable for ex-servicemen as well as for candidates who were domiciled in J&K from Jan 01, 1980, to Dec 31, 1989, as well as the children & dependents of victims of communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat as per the Govt. instructions in this regard issued by the Central Government from time to time.

The age limit is relaxable up to maximum 5 years to the meritorious sportspersons specified in Para 1 (a) of DoP & AR O.M. No. 14015/1/76-Estt. (D), dtd 4.8.1980. The candidate considering age relaxation in this category must have the desired certificate in the form & from the authority prescribed in OM under reference.


This is the selection process in IB (ISO) recruitments

In IB, the selection will be on the basis of Tier-1 exam, Tier-2 exam and interview. First of all, the candidates will have to take Tier-1 written test, which will be of 100 marks. Successful candidates will have to take a Tier-2 descriptive test of 50 marks. Those who succeed in Tier-2 will be called for interview, which will be of 100 marks. Candidates to be selected will get pay scale level 7 (Rs 44,900-1,42,400) and other allowances.
